TENCEL (100% Tencel)
Tencel (or lyocell) is a sustainable fabric, regenerated from wood cellulose. It is obtained from eucalyptus trees that are grown on farms, without genetic manipulation, irrigation or pesticides. Lyocell fibers are grown sustainably, making this the most environmentally friendly regenerated fabric of all. Tencel is an amazingly versatile fabric, able to be machine washed and dried, and it is known to be very soft, absorbent and strong. It is great for sensitive skin, as it keeps skin dry with its wicking abilities. It has one of the best hand touches of all fabrics, a stunning luster and it is so smooth and comfortable. It has a beautiful draping quality as well as it is resistant to wrinkling.

LINEN (60% Linen 40% Organic Cotton)
Linen fabrics are created from a plant, the flax plant, that has been cultivated for over 6000 years in Europe. From this plant, fibers are separated, turned into yarn and eventually woven into fabric. This organic source and process, makes linen a fully sustainable fabric, 100% natural, biodegradable and recyclable.
Linen is stronger than cotton and dries faster, and because of its natural heat and moisture-wicking properties, it is a very popular fabric to use for bedding, especially in the summer, however, when the weather is cold, linen can save natural body heat.
As a fabric, linen has little elasticity, can be stiff and wrinkle quite a bit, that’s why we like to blend cotton, making the final product a little softer, but still maintaining linen advantages like being naturally anti-bacterial.
To get an even cozier feel, this fabric is submitted to a special industrial wash, that breaks some fibers, in order to make it softer. Another great advantage of this type of finishing, is creating a laid-back look to the fabric that keeps it from being ironed, once it forms natural wrinkles.
SATEEN (Sateen 220TC 100% Organic Cotton)
Cotton Sateen is made of the finest high-quality yarns, it is one of the most expensive types of cotton fabric. With elastane fibers, cotton sateen has got some stretch and increased wear-resistance. It keeps original color for a long time and looks great even after many machine washings. It is a pure pleasure to touch, especially if it is washed in laundry, and it is hypoallergenic once is made of natural cotton.
Sateen is often used in bed linen, opposite to satin, more used in garment. Sateen comes from cotton and satin comes from silk, nylon or polyester, it is more slippery and lustrous. But while they do use different fibers, satin and sateen are styles of weave. Sateen fabric was originally created by weaving fibers in a “one thread over, one under” weaving technique, and satin used a special “four threads over, one under” style. But nowadays, sateen is constructed with satin style, making it very similar in terms of shine and look (sateen with satin weave).
Sateen (being made of cotton) has superior durability and can be processed with minimal treatments and chemicals (especially if we are talking about organic cotton) so, we choose to work with 100% organic cotton sateen for our products, meaning that they still have that sheen and buttery softness but are made of cotton, which is great to be thrown right into the washing machine!
PERCALE (Percale 200/300TC 100% Organic Cotton)
Percale is a material sourced from a weaving technique that creates a long-lasting, soft and elegant fabric, good for any time of the year but perfect for warmer nights thanks to the material’s coolness and softness.
Percale has the advantage of getting softer and softer with each wash, icing on the cake for anyone! The amount of threads woven per inch has a strong impact on the softness, durability and flexibility of the fabric, meaning that higher the thread count, higher the quality/softness. However, thread count can be misleading. Fabrics with higher thread count than 400-500 tend to be so tightly woven that they become stiff, heavy and does not breath well. A thread count of 200-400 is therefore preferred and is what we like to use in all of our bedding percale fabrics.
This fabric prevents dust and so reduces allergies. Also, as it is made from organic cotton, is a sustainable perfect fabric for any bed!
COTTON (30/30 76×68 100% Organic Cotton)
Pure cotton sheets are always a good idea! Cotton is a breathable fabric and can transfer moisture away from the skin, perfect for sensitive skins or prone to allergies. It is soft to touch and it has hypoallergenic qualities, plus has stronger durability.
Cotton material can easily stretch which means it can be really comfortable. And to get an even softer touch, it can be washed in industrial laundry, creating a beautiful cozy end product.
30/30 76×68 fabric has a 144 thread count, being the next best option after percale, once it has a great price/quality ratio.
